LONDON - British company 888 Holdings, owner of the world’s largest online casino 888.com, announced on September 1 that it was to float on the London Stock Exchange. John Anderson, chief executive of 888 and a former director of British betting chain Ladbrokes, said that the flotation would help build a war chest for the company to make acquisitions. “Today’s announcement marks an important step in our goal to become the market leader in the global online gaming entertainment industry and will enable us to increase further our brand profile, recognition and credibility,” Anderson said.
